Track: Course 2 – Clinical Certification Track 

Prerequisite: Children of Trauma and Resilience (Conference Training) (eLearning Course) OR Children of Trauma

Audience: Anyone who works with children, adolescents, families or communities.

Starr Commonwealth holds its Trauma & Resilience Conference annually, to ensure as many people as possible have access to the best tools and programs to bring about meaningful change in the children they serve.

In this training, participants will be provided an overview of the SITCAP® Model and how to apply mind body skills while focusing on the primary themes of trauma.* 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

  • Identify the most immediate and appropriate INTERVENTION NEEDS of the traumatized child/adolescent. 
  • Adapt approaches for use in INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP settings in schools and agencies.
  • Learn and practice MIND-BODY SKILLS for emotional regulation. 
  • Learn and practice activities for the most common THEMES OF TRAUMA.

 *This course combines content from ALL previous Structured Sensory Interventions and Healing the Experience of Trauma trainings.
