Track: Course 3 – Educational Certification Track


Audience: Designed for anyone who works in a school setting – teachers, administrators, bus drivers, lunchroom workers, office staff, librarians, etc.

Starr Commonwealth holds its Trauma & Resilience Conference annually, to ensure as many people as possible have access to the best tools and programs to bring about meaningful change in the children they serve.

In this training, participants will be taken deeper into the previous Educational Track course content, diving into the polyvagal theory, epigenetics, and the science of resilience.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the brain science behind trauma and resilience.
  • Identify the main components of the SITCAP® model.
  • Identify sensory-based interventions for students in the school setting.
  • Identify how exposure is connected to body sensations.
