Certified Trainer Training

Begins 07/21/2020

Audience: Designed for professionals who are Starr Certified Trauma Practitioners (CTP), through either the Clinical or Educational track (CTP-C or CTP-E), and want to train others in trauma-informed, resilience-focused care and teaching.

Prerequisites: All core courses and CTP Certification

Starr Commonwealth holds its Trauma & Resilience Conference annually, to ensure as many people as possible have access to the best tools and programs to bring about meaningful change in the children they serve.

Through this 2-day training, the course trains and certifies individuals to train others in Starr’s five core courses:

Participants will also receive an overview of the history of Starr Commonwealth and its core beliefs. All trainers are expected to prepare a presentation from one of the core courses. The remaining portion of the course is dedicated to understanding one’s role and responsibilities as a Starr Certified Trainer. Individuals who complete the course are certified and licensed to provide courses on behalf of Starr for 1 year, at which time they must recertify in order to continue. The annual licensing period also gives the trainer access to a webpage full of resources.
